1 Overall situation
In September 2020, China's pesticide import and export volume and amount increased year-on-year, with a trade surplus of US $0.745 billion billion. The import and export volume (the volume of goods, the same below) was 161900 tons, up 18.20 percent year-on-year; the import and export value was 0.793 billion billion US dollars, up 4.57 percent year-on-year.
2 Export
This month, China's pesticide exports also increased year-on-year. The export volume was 160300 tons, up 18.96 percent year on year. The export value was 0.769 billion billion US dollars, up 4.61 percent year on year.
From the original drug, preparation, the original drug, preparation are double increased year-on-year, the increase of preparation is greater than the original drug. The export volume of raw drugs was 55300 tons, up 10.84 percent year-on-year, and the export value was 0.447 billion U.S. dollars, up 0.55 percent year-on-year; the export volume of preparations was 105000 tons, up 23.73 percent year-on-year, and the export value was 0.322 billion U.S. dollars, up 10.82 percent year-on-year.
By pesticide category, from the number and amount of exports, only weeding, fungicides double increase. The export quantity of herbicides is 102900 tons, and the export value is 0.374 billion US dollars. The export quantity of insecticides is 38700 tons, and the export value is 0.257 billion US dollars. The export quantity of fungicides is 17100 tons, and the export value is 0.125 billion US dollars.
3 Imports
This month, the number of pesticide imports in China fell and the amount rose. Imports were 1600 tons, down 28.32 percent year-on-year, while imports were $0.024 billion million, up 3.10 percent year-on-year.
From the original medicine, preparations, imported raw drugs increased year-on-year, preparations decreased year-on-year. Imports of raw drugs were 500 tons, up 72.52 percent year-on-year, and imports were 0.011 billion U.S. dollars, up 261.22 percent year-on-year; imports of preparations were 1100 tons, down 44.46 percent year-on-year; and imports were 0.013 billion U.S. dollars, down 36.98 percent year-on-year.
By pesticide category, in terms of the quantity and amount of imports, the amount of pesticides decreased, and the amount of sterilization and herbicides decreased. The import quantity of insecticide is 700 tons, and the import amount is 0.012 billion US dollars; the import quantity of fungicide is 700 tons, and the import amount is 0.011 billion US dollars; the import quantity of herbicide is 200 tons, and the import amount is 0.001 billion US dollars.
